At least five people have been reported killed following heavy rainfall and flooding across Andhra Pradesh state as of Wednesday, October 14. In Visakhapatnam district, at least three people died, two in the Munagada area following the collapse of a wall, and one person drowned in the Varaha river in the Cheedikada area. Two other fatalities were reported in Rajamahendravaram City and Vijayawada. Several homes were damaged by floodwaters, and significant disruption to transportation has been reported. A warning remains in place for the Prakasam barrage on the Krishna river, and homes along the river have been asked to remain vigilant.

Further rainfall is expected over the coming days, with continued risks of flooding and landslides. A disruption to business, transportation, and utilities is likely while rains continue.
