India: Activists plan protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi Feb. 28

The Azad Sena youth organization plans to hold a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi Feb. 28 to denounce the caste-based reservation system. Organizers have not announced a starting time for the demonstration. Participation in the protest will probably be dozens to a couple of hundred people.

Security personnel will likely monitor the protest and may try to break it up if it is especially disruptive. While clashes are unlikely, isolated skirmishes cannot be ruled out. Protesters may block or march along nearby roadways, causing localized transport disruptions.
