Context

Sociopolitical tensions are high in Argentina and protests are regularly organized to denounce policies and reforms implemented by the conservative government of President Mauricio Macri. Larger demonstrations can result in major traffic chaos that can significantly disrupt daily life. Clashes with security forces and other low-intensity violence occasionally occurs.

Advice

Individuals in Argentina are advised to confirm travel reservations, be prepared for significant disruptions, and avoid all protests as a precaution.
