Argentina: Protesters gather in San Carlos de Bariloche April 19

Activists stage anti-government protests and cause traffic disruptions in San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, on April 19.

Warning

Activists affiliated with the Association of Government Workers (Asociacion de Trabajadores del Estado, ATE) are protesting in San Carlos de Bariloche and causing traffic disruptions on April 19. Protesters oppose President Javier Milei's visit to the city for the Llao Llao Forum, hosted at the Llao Llao Hotel on Avenida Ezequiel Bustillo. Activists have earlier gathered near San Carlos de Bariloche Airport (BRC) awaiting the president's arrival and may return to the area later on April 19.

Heightened security and localized transport disruptions are likely near gatherings, especially in areas between BRC and Llao Llao Hotel. Protests will probably remain mostly peaceful, though clashes are possible if police attempt to disperse any gatherings.

Avoid the protest. Plan for delays and alternative routes if operating near the protest area of traveling via BRC April 19. Heed instructions from authorities.
