Among the most affected areas are the central provinces of La Vega, Monseñor Nouel, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata, and San Cristóbal. The Emergency Operations Center (CEO) has already issued a red alert level in San Cristóbal province; at least one death has been recorded, 2865 people have been displaced, and 773 houses and several infrastructure points have been damaged across the province as of Wednesday, May 9.

Lower green alerts are in effect in much of the rest of the country.
