Zulfah joined WorldAware in June 2018. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the University of Cape Town and her research involves spatially analyzing child injury mortality within the Cit of Cape Town. She has a Masters of Science degree in Medicine and has completed various Masters in Public Health courses ranging from epidemiology, health systems research and health economics; also obtained from the University of Cape Town. Zulfah has worked with data from mortuaries in South Africa to highlight the burden of child mortality and the need for multisectoral collaboration to prevent these deaths. She has also worked with pregnant women and healthcare workers in Soweto, JHB to improve their knowledge of living a healthy lifestyle during pregnancy through an E-learning platform.
