Summary
Response operations are ongoing at the Xinjia Hotel in Quanzhou, Fujian Province, as of the morning of March 10. The building, which was serving as a novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) quarantine facility, collapsed March 7, trapping 71 people in the rubble. Workers have recovered 59 of the victims as of March 10; however, rescue workers continue to search for 12 additional people. Officials have confirmed 18 deaths from the incident, though the casualty count could rise.
