Thought Leaders to Share Value of Advanced Open Source Intelligence Methods
iJET International, a leading provider of global intelligence and business resiliency services, will lead an educational session at the ASIS International 58th Annual Seminar and Exhibits on the value of new technologies and practices that are transforming traditional open source intelligence (OSINT) methods. The session will showcase the application of OSINT 2.0 to understand security trends and events in Mexico.
The Next Generation in Open Source Intelligence Tuesday, September 11, 2012. 11:00 a.m. -- 12:00 noon EDT
- Bruce McIndoe, CEO, iJET International
- Roland Cloutier, VP and Chief Security Officer, ADP
This session will outline the advancement of open source intelligence methods from traditional OSINT to OSINT 2.0. Traditional OSINT methods have focused on the acquisition of large amounts of raw data from native and foreign language sources and Internet searches, which often deliver limited value to decision makers. OSINT 2.0 exploits novel data sources and tools fused with analytics to distill data into intelligence, interpret its relevance to an organization's risk profile, and determine trends. As a case study, McIndoe and Cloutier will describe how advanced OSINT 2.0 methods are used to understand security incidents and trends in Mexico.
