July 23, 2013 ANNAPOLIS, MD - iJET International, Inc. (iJET) today announced that David Kidd has joined iJET as Program Manager, responsible for managing iJET's Security Operations Center (SOC) for the World Bank Group (WBG), headquartered in Washington, DC. David will be responsible for the operational management of the client-dedicated 24x7 SOC.
Operational Management of the SOC includes oversight of global operations security and headquarters' physical security monitoring, managing the development of policies and procedures for the SOC, and serving as the senior point of contact for all security related communications and the primary liaison for contractor management within the WBG SOC. David brings over twenty five years of security, risk-management, and operational continuity experience to iJET.
He joins iJET from Cleveland Clinic, where he held the role of Senior Director - Operational Continuity and System Security responsible for leading a cross-functional team that developed and standardized security programs, preparedness and response capabilities, emergency operations centers, and operational continuity for hospitals in the U.S. and oversees.
Prior to his experience at the Cleveland Clinic, David was employed by the U.S. Department of State for over twenty years where he held a number of positions and extended assignments, including Senior Regional Security Officer at the U.S. Embassy in London; Director, Office of Investigations and Counterintelligence at the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS); and Project Security Manager at the U.S. Embassy in Beijing, China. David started his career as a uniformed U.S. Secret Service Officer. David holds a B.S. in Sociology from Thiel College and an M.S. in Safety, Security and Emergency Management from Eastern Kentucky University. He also holds a number of professional certifications and specialized career training, including Business Continuity Professional, Special Agent and Federal Police Certification, Homeland Security and FEMA Professional Development.
