As of Aug. 27, the Pine Gulch Fire is 135,958 acres in size and approximately 53% contained. Mandatory evacuation orders continue for residents of certain areas of Garfield County and may expand depending on evolving wildfire conditions. Located about 18 miles north of Grand Junction, Colorado, the Pine Gulch Fire ignited July 13 and is now Colorado's largest wildfire in history.
