Pete Dordal, Jr. is the Interim President of WorldAware and President of GardaWorld Federal Services. He is an accomplished security management professional and business leader with over 35 years of experience gained in the U.S. military, private and public security, the intelligence community and entrepreneurial commercial endeavors. He’s been a senior executive at GardaWorld since 2008, having served in a number of progressive operational and leadership roles.
Pete joined GardaWorld from service with a select US government contract, where he provided highly specialized risk management services supporting the Global War on Terror. Earlier, Pete was the Director of Corporate Security at SPX Corporation, a multi-industrial Fortune 500 company, where he oversaw the security and risk management of 24,000 employees operating in 23 countries. In a dual-role he was also the President of SPX Security & Investigations, a commercial business unit that provided a range of security and investigative services to global corporate customers, the US government and other friendly foreign nations. In 1995, Pete founded The Potomac Group & Associates (PG&A), a boutique international security firm he grew to a multi-million dollar business and sold five years later to SPX Corporation.
He entered the private security industry in 1989 with Vance International, the premier executive protection and high-end security consultancy of its time. His professional career began in 1981 with his enlistment in the U.S. Marine Corps, serving eight years in special operations and training.
Pete has a Master’s Degree in Business from the McColl Graduate School of Business, and a degree in Security Administration. He is also a graduate of the Harvard Kennedy School of Government International Security Program. Pete sits on the boards of the US Libya Business Association (USLBA), Executive Security International (ESI), and the Investigative Management Group.
Ellen joined WorldAware in 2007. In addition to her role as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, she serves as Chief Compliance Officer for WorldAware. Ellen is responsible for all legal and compliance matters for WorldAware, including contracting, data privacy, mergers and acquisition, intellectual property and corporate compliance matters. She brings more than 15 years of legal experience to WorldAware. Previously, Ellen served as Senior Counsel for Manugistics, Inc., a global provider of supply chain management software solutions where she oversaw the company’s international legal matters and intellectual property filings. Ellen has extensive experience in corporate matters and contract negotiation. She is a graduate of St. Joseph’s University and has a JD from The National Law Center at the George Washington University.
Maureen is Senior Vice President Global Sales and Client Management, responsible for leading WorldAware’s Sales Team and Client Management team, and co-leading the company’s direct sales global community which identifies, develops and shares best practices across all of WorldAware’s worldwide sales teams. Over the past nine years, Maureen has served as WorldAware’s major account executive, and more recently as WorldAware’s Vice President, Major Account Sales. During her time at WorldAware, Maureen has been consulting with and assisting Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies, helping them to achieve their business continuity and integrated risk management objectives. Prior to joining WorldAware, Maureen was in a strategic sales role at Motorola, specializing in RFID technology solutions. She has also held consulting, sales and customer service leadership roles at Manugistics, Mobil Chemical Company and Nabisco Foods Group.
Maureen has a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing, with a concentration in supply chain management, from Ball State University.
Mike is WorldAware's Senior Vice President for Global Risk Services.
Serving with distinction in the US Army, Major Susong completed multiple combat tours around the globe. He also served as a Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) operations officer and was awarded the CIA's Intelligence Star for Heroism in the field.
In the private sector, Mike created competitive intelligence programs for Fujitsu Limited (Tokyo) and Ernst&Young LLP, and cofounded the cyber intelligence company, iSIGHT Partners (acquired by FireEye). He established the industry’s first cyber threat intelligence programs at Pacific Gas and Electric Company in California and at Visa Incorporated.
He is on the United States Defense Intelligence Agency’s National Intelligence University Foundation Board of Directors and the ASIS International™ Strategic Planning Commission, is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM™) and Certified Protection Professional (CPP™).
Bruce is a recognized leader in risk management, technology, and intelligence. A WorldAware founder, Bruce has been a key contributor to the company’s strategic growth, securing its position as a leader in business resiliency with the development of the Worldcue® Global Control Center. Prior to joining WorldAware, Bruce was founder and CEO of CSSi, an Inc. 500 and four-time Washington Technology FAST 50 company that developed systems for the intelligence community. He has also served as a lead architect on intelligence programs for the US government.
Bruce is a former trustee of Allegheny College, where he received a BS in Physics, and holds a MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. He is an adjunct professor at University of Maryland University College (UMUC) where he teaches in the Criminal Justice division covering intelligence, security management and cyber security courses.
