Activists plan to protest outside the governorate office in Saravan, Sistan va Baluchestan Province Feb. 23, against the alleged killing of two ethnic Baluch fuel collectors. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had reportedly killed the two individuals and injured two others after a group of fuel collectors protested near an IRGC military base Feb. 22. Hundreds of individuals could attend the demonstration.

Authorities will likely increase security to monitor the protest. Localized transport disruptions are likely near the Saravan governorate office Feb. 23. Clashes between police and protesters cannot be ruled out, particularly if demonstrators are overly disruptive or if they ignore police orders to disperse.

Saravan is located approximately 275 km (171 miles) southeast of Zahedan.
