COVID-19 restrictions in Tennessee, US, remain largely unchanged as of Feb. 22. Certain measures eased in some counties.

As of Feb. 22, COVID-19 restrictions in effect in Tennessee remain largely unchanged as compared with those in force during the second half of January. Although gathering restrictions have been lifted, authorities continue to recommend all persons wear facemasks in public and that businesses allow employees to work from home to the extent possible. They also urge places of worship to conduct ceremonies online; businesses are advised to implement social distancing measures, enhance sanitation procedures, and screen employees' health. Additional restrictions are in place in several of the state's counties. Authorities in Shelby County have eased restrictions to allow dine-in services at bars and restaurants to operate without capacity limits and to stay open until 2359 daily. Festivals, fairs, and large-scale sporting and community events remain canceled. The use of facemasks is mandatory for residents over the age of two in public settings. In Davidson County, which includes the city of Nashville, most businesses are allowed to open at 50-percent capacity. Restaurants and bars must cease the sale of alcohol daily by 2300. The use of masks is required for individuals over the age of 12 in public settings. Gatherings of more than eight people are prohibited. In Knox County restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and similar establishments must close in-person services nightly by 2300 and limit their operating capacity to 50 percent. Authorities could reimpose, extend, further ease, or otherwise amend any restrictions with little-to-no notice depending on disease activity over the coming weeks.
