Thailand: Activists call for general strike October 14 /update 16

Activists called for a general strike on October 14 to demand reforms to limit the power and budget of the royal family. Parit Chiwarak, a protest leader, called for the general strike on Sunday, September 20. Chiwarak also urged the public to withdraw their money from the Siam Commercial Bank in protest, due to King Maha Vajiralongkorn position as the bank's main shareholder.
