Around 100 firefighters are tackling a building fire on Gervis Road in Bournemouth (Dorset) as of Thursday morning, September 24. Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service was called to the scene at 23:26 (local time) on Wednesday, September 23, to a derelict building that was ablaze. Some sixteen crews were still attending the fire as of 01:30 on Thursday. There have been no reports of casualties at this time. There have been some reports that some nearby buildings have been evacuated due to the fire, including the Hotel Britannia. Authorities are advising people to avoid the area in the immediate term.

Localized disruptions should be anticipated in the vicinity of the fire over the coming hours while emergency operations are underway.
