Security forces killed eight suspected militants in operations on Thursday, June 18, and Friday, June 19, in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian and Pulwama districts. Three militants were killed in the Pampore area of Awantipora in Pulwama on Thursday, and five were killed in the Munand area of Shopian on Friday.

Further security operations and clashes between security forces and militants across Jammu and Kashmir territory are expected over the near term.
