Context

The government's limited influence and operational capabilities in the DRC's eastern provinces, as well as the presence of numerous armed groups and local self-defense militias, has led to persistent insecurity in the region.

Advice

Individuals in Ituri province are advised to remain vigilant, monitor developments, and adhere to all instructions issued by local authorities and their home governments.

The security environment in the DRC's eastern provinces remains complex. Professional security advice and support should be sought prior to travel.
