An improvised explosive device (IED) was detonated in Mogadishu's Hodan district on Thursday, June 18. Early reports suggest that the explosion killed at least three people and injured a number of others. Although no group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, similar IED attacks have been carried out by Al-Shabaab militants in the capital.
