The National Weather Service (NWS) lifted the tornado warning for the Kansas City metro area at approximately 19:35 (local time). Officials warned that strong winds and hail are still possible in the Kansas City (Kansas state) and Kansas City (Missouri state) area. Some damage and power outages have been reported in the area from the tornado; details are still emerging.

In Missouri state, a new tornado warning was issued for Clay county until 20:15 and for Excelsior Springs, Kearney, and Lawson until 20:30. According to the NWS, a rotating wall cloud was reported near Kearney and individuals in the area are being advised to take immediate shelter.
