Aeroflot flight SU1492 made an emergency landing at Moscow's Sheremetyevo International Airport (SVO) after the plane - bound for Murmansk - caught fire in mid-air on Sunday, May 5. At least 13 people were killed in the incident; multiple other people aboard the plane remain unaccounted for. The cause of the fire was not immediately reported.

Flight operations were briefly suspended at SVO following the incident; it was not immediately reported when normal flight operations would resume. Lingering flight disruptions are to be expected at the airport over the coming hours.
