According to the FBI, a woman who is "infatuated" with the 1999 Columbine High School massacre arrived in Denver on Monday, April 15, and purchased a firearm. Local police officials announced on Tuesday, April 16, that the suspect was last seen in the Jefferson county foothills, and that she should be considered extremely dangerous. A heightened police presence is expected in the area, particularly around schools, in the coming days.
