A march is set to begin at 18:30 (local time) from Bustamente Park and end at Echaurren Street via Avenue Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins. Additional related demonstrations are possible in Santiago and other major urban areas. A heightened security presence and transportation disruptions including road closures are expected near the demonstration sites.

Context

Intentional Women's Day is celebrated each year in numerous countries on March 8 to push forward women's right and shed the light on inequalities in between men and women. Feminist Night marches are organized in Istanbul since 2003 to celebrate this event.
