A large winter storm system moving across the US is forecast to bring heavy snow to areas of the east coast, including coastal New England, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Appalachians from Sunday, March 3, to Monday, March 4. The US National Weather Service (NWS) issued winter storm warnings and advisories from West Virginia to Maine, including the Baltimore-Washington area, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, New York City, and Boston. An estimated 10-20 cm (4-8 in) of snow is forecast for the affected areas. Transportation disruptions are possible, including dangerous driving conditions and flight delays and cancelations.
