Flight disruptions continue to be reported nationwide on February 28 after Indian government suspended operations at airports in northwest due to escalating tensions

Flight disruptions (delays and cancelations) continue to be reported nationwide as of Thursday, February 28, notably at Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) and New Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) after authorities authorities previously closed civilian airspace and suspended operations at several airports across northwest India. Air Canada has suspended all flights to airports in Mumbai and New Delhi on Thursday, February 28. According to Air Canada, customers booked on flights to BOM and DEL will be able to make alternative flight arrangements without penalty. Further flight disruptions are possible in the coming days.

India temporarily suspended civilian flight operations in northwestern states on February 27 after the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) allegedly shot down two Indian Air Force (IAF) jets in Pakistani airspace in Azad Jammu and Kashmir earlier in the day.
