As of Monday, January 28, a dense fog is affecting the capital New Delhi, leading to road and rail transportation disruptions, due to poor visibility. Meanwhile, the air quality index in the National Capital Region reached an overall PM 2.5 level of 178 (moderate category). However, the air quality is expected to worsen in the next two days to reach a very poor category, as cold wave conditions is expected to prevail in the capital and its surroundings.
