France: Nationwide climate rallies to be held on January 27 /update 1

Demonstrations are planned nationwide on Sunday, January 27, to call for greater action to combat climate change. A rally is set to take place in Paris at Place de la République at 14:00 (local time), while demonstrations are also expected in Marseille at Vieux-Port from 14:00 and Place de Terreaux in Lyon from 14:30. Additional rallies are possible in other cities nationwide, including Rennes, Saint-Etienne, and La Rochelle. A heightened security presence and localized traffic disruptions are expected near the demonstration site.

As a reminder, significant disruptions are possible in Paris on January 26-27 due to planned protests organized by the "Yellow vest" and "Red scarf" movements.
