US: Flash flood warning in effect for Camp Fire area (California) January 20

The US National Weather Service (NWS) issued a flash flood warning effective until 17:45 (local time) on Sunday, January 20, for areas previously affected by the Camp Fire in Butte county (California). Heavy rain over the burn scar may result in flash floods and mudslides in the greater Paradise area, including CA-70 and the Skyway. Associated transportation disruptions, including road closures, are possible.

Context

The Camp Fire in November 2018 was the deadliest and most destructive wildfire in California history, burning 62,000 hectares (153,000 acres) and resulting in 86 deaths.
