India: Demonstration to be held in Mumbai January 22

The Samast Brahmin Samaj civil society group has called for a demonstration to be held in Mumbai on Tuesday, January 22. According to the group, the demonstration is being organized to demand increased job quotas for members of the Brahmin community. Demonstrators are expected to gather near the Azad Maidan sports ground. A heightened security presence and associated transportation disruptions are to be anticipated near the demonstration.
