Police in Strasbourg have reopened the central train station as of 21:00 (local time) on Thursday, December 27, following reports of a suspicious package. The train station was evacuated at 18:15 on December 27 after authorities indicated they received an anonymous message alerting them to a possible bomb inside the station. Police subsequently evacuated the station and deployed explosive technicians. Officials later indicated the threat was determined to be false. Nevertheless, residual rail disruptions are to be anticipated in the coming hours.
