South Africa: Severe weather forecast November 4

South African Weather Service (SAWS) warns of severe weather in parts of Northern Cape, North-West, Free State, Eastern Cape, and West Cape November 4-5

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued severe weather warnings for multiple areas of the country on Sunday, November 4. Severe thunderstorms are forecast for Cape Metropole, northeastern parts of Northern Cape province, western parts of North-West province, and between Stutterheim and Coffee Bay. Strong winds and damaging hail are possible in the abovementioned areas.

The SAWS also warned of wildfire conditions in eastern Northern Cape, eastern parts of Central Karoo, western and central parts of Free State, western and central parts of North-West province, and most parts of Eastern Cape. Hazardous conditions and possible transportation disruptions are forecast to continue through Monday, November 5.
