Romania’s High Court votes in favor of restricting spontaneous gatherings on October 15; protests possible in coming days

Protests are possible in the coming days and weeks after Romania's High Court ruled in favor of restricting spontaneous gatherings on Monday, October 15. All gatherings in the vicinity of buildings belonging to legal entities - e.g. Victory Square, University Square, Cotroceni Palace, the Parliament building, and the Ministry of Justice - will henceforth require prior authorization.

Associated protests have already taken place in Bucharest and Cluj; no incidents were reported.
