Series of rail strikes set to take in place in Belgium in June and July; confirm travel reservations

Unions representing workers at the SNCB - a.k.a. Belgian Rail - are threatening to hold a series of strikes in June and July. A 48-hour strike is set to begin on Friday, June 22, at 03:00 (local time). A 24-hour strike is set to begin at 22:00 on Wednesday, June 27. Further strikes have been called for June 25, 26, and 29, and July 2, 4, 6, 9, and 11. Train delays, modified timetables, last-minute cancelations, and overcrowding on available trains are possible during and following strike periods.
