Air traffic controllers in Marseille region to strike May 21-22 and May 26-28; anticipate flight disruptions

Air traffic controllers based in Marseille (southeast) are holding a strike from 19:00 on May 21 (local time) until 06:00 on May 23. Another 48-hour strike will begin at 05:30 on Saturday, May 26. According to local sources, hundreds of flights at regional airports scheduled for May 21 and 22 have been canceled. Flight delays and cancelations are to be anticipated, particularly at Marseille Provence Airport (MRS) and airports on the island of Corsica.
