Metro workers’ union threatens to strike again in Buenos Aires on May 18; metro and road transportation disruptions expected

The Association of Workers of the Subway and Premetro (AGTSyP) announced on Wednesday, May 16, that it will organize another metro strike in Buenos Aires on Friday, May 18, if the government does not open a dialogue with them. According to AGTSyP leaders, the strike will impact the C and D lines of the Buenos Aires Metro (subte) from 00:01 until 12:00 (local time). Increased road congestion, increased demand for taxis, and overcrowding on municipal buses are to be anticipated during strike periods.
