Greece: Anti-war protest in Thessaloniki April 14

An anti-war protest denouncing the ongoing conflict in Syria is planned for Thessaloniki on Saturday, April 14. Groups plan to gather at 11:30 (local time) at Evosmos square and the former City Hall of Polichni. Another group plans to meet at 12:00 on Kalamaria street and stage a march from there.

On Friday, April 13, a peaceful anti-war gathering was held outside the US Consulate in Thessaloniki. Several hundred people joined the demonstration that opposed Greek involvement in the ongoing conflict in Syria, briefly closing Boulevard Sofias.
