LAN Express strike in Chile launched April 10 continues; flight disruptions expected through at least April 18

A strike by cabin crew staff at the airline LAN Express, launched on April 10, continues as of Friday, April 13. The strike is having a significant impact on operations and has resulted in hundreds of canceled flights, mostly domestic services. LAN Express has canceled or rescheduled a number of short- and medium-haul flights through April 18; disruptions beyond this date are possible.
Talks between employees and management have been suspended; they are set to resume on April 16.
