National rail strike February 27 results in train delays and cancelations in Belgium

Belgian rail workers have launched a 24-hour strike expected to continue until 22:00 (local time) on Tuesday, February 27, in protest of pension reforms. The SNCB - Belgian's national train operator - has announced it expects severe disruptions across its network, notably in the capital Brussels and the cities of Charleroi and Liège. International Thalys and Eurostar trains are also facing disruptions (delays and cancelations) due to the strike. Finally, public transportation in Brussels and Flemish cities including Antwerp and Ghent is significantly affected.
