Afghanistan: Peace conference to be held in Kabul Feb. 28

The latest Kabul Peace conference will be held in Kabul City on Wednesday, February 28. Ambassadors from a range of nations associated with the security and stability of Afghanistan will be in attendance. The event will be considered a high value target for militants, with a heightened threat from indirect fire and large-scale suicide vehicle borne improvised explosive devices (SVBIEDs). Increased security systems and disruption to travel associated with VIP movements are expected across the city from February 27 until March 2. Individuals in Kabul should consider essential movement only.
