A 7.5-magnitue earthquake hit 4 km (2.5 mi) south of Pinotepa de Don Luis in the southwestern state of Oaxaca around 17:45 (local time) on Friday, February 16. No damages or casualties have been reported but media sources reported tremors were felt in Mexico City. Aftershocks are possible in the coming hours. Details are still emerging.
