The Devil’s Wood Yard mud volcano - located in the village of Hindustan on the island of Trinidad - erupted at least twice on the morning of Tuesday, February 13. The first eruption was reported at 04:00 (local time), followed by a second at 09:00. Several people living nearby have been evacuated. The seismic activity has caused some very minor damage (cracks) to nearby roads.

Further eruptions and shaking is possible in the coming hours and days.

Context

Trinidad and Tobago is located in an active seismic zone, situated along the same fault line as Haiti.
