A single-seat aircraft taking part in the 2018 Singapore Airshow caught fire while attempting to take off at Changi International Airport (SIN) around 13:30 (local time) on Tuesday, February 6. The incident occurred on Runway 1, which has been closed until further notice - leading to flights delays.

Context

The pilot, the only person on board the aircraft at the time of the accident, escaped with minor injuries.
