The French weather service, Météo France, has issued orange alerts for a large number of center-north departments due to snow and icy conditions for Tuesday, February 6. Most affected areas - including the capital Paris - are expected to receive 3-10 cm (1-4 in) of snow, although certain areas could receive up to 20 cm (8 in). Road travel disruptions are to be expected along with flight delays and cancelations at airports in Paris, Lille, and Nantes
