Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is in Italy for an official visit to Rome and the Vatican from Sunday, February 4, to Monday, February 5. Increased security measures and traffic disruptions are to be expected in the capital throughout the visit. Some 3500 police forces will reportedly be deployed in and around Rome - including in the historic city center - over the two days. Additionally, a "green zone" where all demonstrations are banned for the 48-hour period was put in place and heighted anti-terrorism measures were implemented (i.e. bomb checks).
