Situation normalizes following panic over reported incident in Oxford Circus tube station Nov. 24

As of 02:00 (local time) on Saturday, November 25, it appears Friday's incident at Oxford Circus tube (metro) station was related to an altercation between two men on a tube platform. Police released a description of the two suspects, but have not yet detained anyone in relation to the incident. In addition, authorities have not yet found any evidence corroborating the reports of gunshots that sparked the earlier panic. 

Context

London's Oxford Circus tube station was evacuated at 16:39 on Friday, after police forces received multiple reports of gunshots. Shortly thereafter, nearby Bond Street Station was also closed to avoid overcrowding amid the rush to evacuate the general area. Both tube stations reopened shortly before 18:00, and security cordons were lifted at 18:10.
