According to Transport for London, Oxford Circus and Bond Street tube (metro) stations reopened shortly before 18:00 (local time) on Friday, November 24, following a reported security incident. According to the Metropolitan Police, there is currently no indication that shots were fired or that anyone was injured in the incident, besides one person lightly injured during the evacuation. Police sources have also confirmed that no suspect has been detained in relation to the incident. At 18:10, the British Transport Police announced it had lifted security cordons around the stations.

It appears the incident was a false alarm, although it is unclear what sparked the panic.
