Argentina: Buenos Aires storm leaves many without power Oct. 18-19

A heavy storm struck Buenos Aires and its environs on the evening of Wednesday, October 18, leaving moderate damage in the area. Reports say more than 70 trees fell during the storm, leaving multiple people with injuries and power outages affecting almost 370,000 homes. As of Thursday morning, some homes remained without power. Among the areas most affected by the storm is Ezeiza, home of Ministro Pistarini International Airport (EZE); however, flight schedules appear to be operating normally.

Train service to and from Alejandro Korn and Bosques stations remains limited due to disrupted electrical systems.

No further storms are forecast for the coming days.
