Summary
Activists from the group Initiative for Evidence-based Coronavirus Information plans to protest in central Vienna, May 1. Demonstrators will gather between 1000-1100 in front of the Chancellery office. Municipal authorities have as yet not approved the group's application for a permit for the event. Several dozen activists attended previous related unauthorized rally in central Vienna on April 24, with a number of participants being arrested or questioned by police.

Police will likely disperse the rally if organizers attempt to move forward with the gathering without a permit. Heightened security could lead to localized transport disruptions; isolated scuffles are possible between demonstrators and police.
