Summary
Activists plan to rally outside the Minister of Health, Adrian Dix's constituency office at 5022 Joyce Street, in Vancouver, from 1400 May 17. The protest is the latest to be held in Vancouver to demand an end to the restrictive orders the British Columbia government has implemented to curb the spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19); a state of emergency order has been extended through at least May 26. It is unclear how many people will attend the demonstration.

Police will probably be deployed to monitor the protest. Major violence is not likely; however, the possibility of isolated skirmishes cannot be discounted. Localized traffic disruptions are likely around the constituency office during the protest, regardless of how many people attend.
