Germany: Unionized public transport workers to strike in Saxony State April 17-21

Unionized public transport workers affiliated with the Ver.di labor union will stage a warning strike across Saxony from 06:00 April 17 until 06:00 April 21 over a pay dispute. The work stoppage will impact buses, ferries, and trams operated by various regional companies, including DVS, VGM, RV SOE, and RBO. The industrial action will not impact regional trains and S-Bahn; however, minor cancellations could occur on Dresden's S-Bahn S1 line. Trams and buses operated by DVB, Taeter Tours, Satra, Muller Busreisen, and TRD will reportedly operate normally.

The strike will almost certainly disrupt public transport services across the state. Increased demand for other forms of transportation is likely. Striking workers may protest outside major transport hubs.
