Activists affiliated with the Fridays for Future movement plan to protest in major cities across Europe on April 19. The purpose of the gatherings is to demand state action on climate change. It is unknown how many participants may attend. Planned demonstrations include:

  • Barcelona: Barcelona City Hall (Casa de la Ciutat)) from 12:00-13:00.

  • Berlin: Marschall Bridge (Marschallbruecke) from 11:30.

  • Brussels: Muntplein/Place de la Monnaie from 16:00.

  • London: In front of Parliament (Palace of Westminster) from 08:00.

  • Madrid: Town Hall (Palacio de Cibeles) from 18:30.

  • Milan: Protest march from Largo Cairoli at 09:30; organizers did not disclose the march destination.

  • Rome: Protest march from Piazza della Repubblica at 09:30; organizers did not disclose the march destination.

  • Zurich: Protest march through the city center, starting and ending at Helvetiaplatz from 18:00.
